Three Places, One Pattern

Looking back, a theme stands out: I was often the odd one out in a small group
With few peers, I missed the social lessons of cause and effect, where you fit, when to step forward or back. I didn’t know those skills were missing until my twenties

In other ways, the same isolation made me fearless
I didn’t know what I couldn’t do — so I went ahead and did it. Work. Life. Business. Personal decisions. Jump first, figure it out along the way

My parents made choices they believed were right — to work, to get ahead, to provide. Yes, there were impacts. Not all positive. But that’s life. We all come away with something

You can call it glass half full or glass half empty
Either way, those places and those years shaped me — not always easily, but always deeply
